✍Select effective Instructional strategies for online learning
In this ITO course, we have started planning our online courses with the end in mind. We have articulated our course outcomes, module learning objectives and decided what types of formative and summative assessments we could use. The final stage of the Backward planning process is deciding how you will teach. In this phase of the design process you need to think about instructional strategies and learning activities that would work best to provide students with the resources and information they need to achieve your course outcomes and objectives.
This document summarizes 5 broad types of Instructional strategies that you could use in your online course. You will find a description of how each is used, when it is best to use and when to avoid using it.
- Select two Instructional strategies from this document that you could use to help you deliver your course outcomes
- Explain how you would use them in your online course.
- If there are other strategies that you would use that are not listed please add it to a comment.
- Add these strategies to your Backward planning template
